Here at MADE it’s important that we continue to grow and develop so that we can continue to help support the growth and development of those we serve. This means taking a look at how we can get better each and every day, week, month, and year. With 2023 behind us and 2024 just underway, the time has come for us to once again see how we can improve. We’ve mapped out 7 major objectives for 2024 to help take our programs and services to a new level. Check them out in detail below.

Return of Student-Athlete/Healthlete Of the Month

The Student-Athlete/Student-Healthlete of the month award is a prestigious honor amongst the MADE family. Each month one male and one female student-athlete/healthlete will be chosen as an example of what it truly means to be MADE. The award is anybody’s for the taking based on their attendance to training sessions, their performance during those sessions, and their accomplishments over the course of the month. Some deserving members will be selected as the first honorees of 2024 at the end of this month, and new honorees will be selected each month going forward. In addition to the award, honorees will receive a special MADE gift to make the winnings that much sweeter. May the best student-athlete/student-healthlete win!

The MADE Games 2024

This year we will be introducing the first ever MADE Games! The MADE Games will be a multi-day event during which member student-athletes/healthletes will test their abilities alongside their fellow participants in a competition designed to showcase their knowledge, skills, and abilities across all three aspects of student-athletics. The MADE Games will serve as an assessment as well as a competition in which the top leaders will be awarded in a variety of categories for their performance including but not limited to:

  1. Push Up Challenge
  2. Pull Up Challenge
  3. 40 yard Dash
  4. Sport-specific challenges and more

FUN FRIDAY Themed Days

Fun Fridays are already a blast, but we’ve decided to make them even more fun by adding in Themed FUN Fridays. At least one FUN Friday each month will be a themed FUN Friday. These themed days will take on various forms such as college day, school jersey day, favorite color day, and more. Members that show up on FUN Friday “on-theme” will receive extra bonus points towards the Student-Athlete/Student-Healthlete of the Month award for that month. Keep an eye in the member app and social media pages for the quickest updates for FUN FRIDAY themes.

College Visits/Field Trips

College visits have been a staple at MADE Student Athletics since the beginning. However, we feel we need to do more. A huge part of being a successful student-athlete is building a network of coaches, recruiters, and college admissions personnel that can help guide our youth along the journey. This year we have the goal of taking our student-athletes on at least four college visits to help expand their network and overall knowledge of college athletics. Additionally, we’d like to continue to foster a team atmosphere among our members so we’re planning to up the number of team building activities we offer as well including field trips and fun get-together activities.

More Sport Leagues and Camps

The success of our 3v3 Basketball Development League has really opened our eyes to the opportunity for helping our student-athletes develop while gaining real time playing experience. This year we will be launching development leagues in Flag Football, Volleyball, Soccer, and more to help foster the development of all of our non-basketball athletes as well. Additionally we will be offering more camps and clinics in these sports to promote further sport-specific growth and development.

More Opportunities For Our Adults

The MADE Student-Healthletes are adult exercisers whose primary goal is to develop a healthy and active lifestyle that lasts a lifetime. This year we will be increasing the number of opportunities for our student-healthletes to be active outside our normal workout hours through more adult only camps, leagues, and activities.

Laying the groundwork for a New Home for MADE!

Our new home will be a space with multiple sport courts, a larger weight room, classrooms, lockerrooms, a lounge area, and more. We want to be able to offer more sessions throughout the week, more activities throughout the year, and expand our overall ability to meet the needs of our community. Moving in to a larger space will be a huge step in doing just that.
