In the Winter of 2022 MADE Student Athletics began its first ever basketball league. The MADE 3v3 D-(evelopment) League was founded with the primary goal of helping our youth basketball players develop their skills through real-time playing experience. Additionally, we aimed to help prepare our youth for competitive basketball by teaching various offensive and defensive strategies that would help them be more effective during their school and travel basketball seasons. The league has quickly become a fan favorite amongst the MADE community, drawing family and friends from all over to watch their players compete.
In the first sesaon of the 3v3 D-League their were 6 teams and two division levels. Each team fought hard each week to give their team the best chance of solidifying the #1 spot. Ultimately, Coach Leon and his Celtics and Lakers teams came out on top in each division. Many players showed tremendous growth over the course of the season, but seeing what it was like for one team to come out on top left many players burning to get another chance to take the throne.
This past Spring, the 3v3 D-League was back in effect for a second season. Many of the players and coaches from season 1 returned with a vengeance, eager to take their team to the top. It was clear early on that this season was going to be a battle!
Ultimately, Coach Mason and the Pistons came out victorious in the finals rematch against Coach Leon and his Lakers. Now the wait is on and the talk has already begun around which team will be crowned the next MADE 3v3 D-League Champs.
